Number Two Son now has a bank account and a mobile phone. Mobiles are more expensive in Canada. He’s now searching for a job.
Number One Son set off this morning, had a few hours in China and is now back on the way to New Zealand.
We had a Chinese takeaway tonight. It’s cheaper with just the two of us. It’s also all the travelling we are likely to do this week.
That’s it for now.
I will have more time tomorrow.
I thought your eldest son was in Malta? Anyway, at least youβre not having to navigate the roads in Leeds anymore.
He was made redundant from the Malta job as a result of Brexit reorganisation. He had been planning to leave and go to New Zealand anyway. He will be back in Leeds in the autumn hen his girlfriend starts her doctorate. Seems he can’t get away…
I see!
They can be tricky to keep up with. π
Some exciting times! Best of luck to both of your boys.
Thank you, I will pass that on. I already have pictures of a black squirrel in Toronto. π
As you know, our Chinese takeaway lasts two days and costs less than Β£20
That is a good point – I eat enough for two days but do it in one sitting! π

My son has just returned from NZ after a two year round the World holiday. It is good to have him back!
I’ll no doubt be happy to see them when they come back. π
When your boys decided to leave home they certainly did it in style! I’m now feeling grateful I need only travel as far as Sheffield to visit my daughter.
Wow! When you get an empty nest, you REALLY get an empty nest. That’s far for both.
We originally worked on the basis of getting them far enough away so they wouldn’t bring their washing home at weekends and it snowballed from there. π
Good for all of you!
Thank you.
