Baking vanilla shortbread biscuits. We did a biscuit tasting and they were excellent, although people preferred the flavour of the orange and lemon flavoured ones, and Jody’s Welsh cakes.

I think it’s a Field Grasshopper (Chorthippus brunneus)
Vicki took this picture on Monday in the polytunnel. You can tell it’s a grasshopper from the short antennae, after that, despite some helpful websites, it gets a bit more difficult. They never quite look like the pictures!

We had the keets out today (baby guinea fowl) for the group to learn handling skills with small animals.
Vicki has a duck and a chicken at home so she just carried on knitting.
