This isn’t the main post of the day but I just wanted to let people know while I thought about it.
I’ve just been looking at comments and managed to put one into trash by ill-disciplined use of my bunch of banana-like fingers. When I went to retrieve it, I thought I’d have a quick look at Spam and found eight comments, made over the last two days, had ended up in Spam. I took them out of there but now can’t find them.
So, if you have commented in the last few days and have not had an answer please accept my apologies. If I find them I will reply, if I don’t please don’t think you are being ignored – you have merely been WordPressed.
The featured image is plums again. That’s because after Plum Tart for two nights we are moving on to plum pie tonight. This is on top of several other plum confections and a large number of loose plums,. We have also given a lot away. Yes, it’s been a good plum year this year. Next year will probably be a bad one. However, at the moment I even see plums when I close my eyes to sleep.
You are all right. We got four plums this year thanks to the late frost and we have eaten a quarter of the crop already.
Nothing like a good plum year! If you have a good fruit dryer, you could put a few more away for winter.
I’d forgotten the fruit dryer – haven’t used it in a while. I’ve just started stewing enough for a couple of jars. WE will work through them. 🙂

I used to check it daily – fascinated by the detritus that gathered there – but this is the first time in ages. I am now wondering what else I have missed. I must be more organised! 🙂

It rained overnight here and stopped about 9.00. It’s a bit blustery but nothing too bad. It must be a lot worse with you being so near the coast. And let’s be honest, if a tornado hit our garden it wouldn’t make it look much worse. 🙂

The plums look wonderful. We have what my husband thought was a pear tree when he bought it, and it turned out to be a plum! But the birds usually get to the fruit before we do, not that it ever has many plums anyway.
Comments that are fished out of spam, usually appear in their chronological order of posting so seem to get lost by newer comments and your replies, so happy searching. Another way to find them, is to sort the comments by post instead of date But probably not worth the effort, people will comment again.
I was originally given two potted trees by a neighbour. They were trained as minarettes but she had let them get out of hand. I planted them in the garden where they got even more out of hand and eventually removed the cherry, having had three cherries in six years. The birds had the rest but they seem to leave the plums alone.
I took the lazy way out and decided just to tell them about it in a post – saves a lot of time searching.
I’ve had long time blog friends end up in my spam folder as well….bleh…
One day we will all be in Spam. Sigh…

Wonderful to have so many plums! And in your very own garden. As for the comments…ah, well.
It is the best plant in the garden. Flowers are nice but a good, ripe plum is a joy. Unfortunately Tootlepedal is having a bad year for plums after losing his blossom in Spring, so I try not to mention mine too often…
