You don’t have to take my word for it – look at the birds.
The Black-headed Gulls are regaining their black heads.
The idiots are also out in force. This prime example spotted the perfect spot to stand and ruin my shot. Then he moved a few feet away before coming back for another go.

Idiotus Domesticus
Robins were singing in the dogwood hedges (Cynical note to self – Robins are always good for attracting likes).

And the ducks are looking in fine fettle for breeding.

And finally – it’s clear what is on this pigeon’s mind, even if the object of his desire isn’t interested.
I liked the robin!
You can’t go wrong with a robin, though dippers are excellent fellows too.
Both the robin and the ducks pictures are superb – two quite different colour blends
Thank you Derrick – they were very cooperative that day.
Always heartening to see signs of spring. And you can’t have too many pictures of robins. π What adorable birds!
Ronis are always happy to pose, which come in handy. π
Spring is on the way in your area, I see! π Robins are always adorable, and that is a fine pair of mallards. π
Yes, there’s plenty of time for winter yet, but spring is definitely on the way.
Your English robins are so cute. They look more like a warbler or a tit of some sort than what I think of as a robin, but now I know what they are and won’t be asking someone that on a trip, looking like a prime idiot.
They used to be thrushes, like your robin, but have been reclassified as chats recently – a dumpier sort of bird.

Ah! Flycatchers, which is about the right size. Anyhow, they’re cute, not dumpy.
As a man of somewhat dumpy proportions I approve of your view point. π
