Watching TV and Wasting Time

I’ve managed to fit in several episodes of Perry Mason, two films – Darkest Hour and Four Weddings and a Funeral – and several quiz shows.

It’s not been a bad day, but it’s not one to be proud of, and not really a good use of a day when I may only have around 2,920 left. (That’s based on the Biblical three score years and ten).

That’s the limit of my inspiration today. I’ll have to write an extra-long post tomorrow.

The pictures are from the days when I did do things. Apple juice and Peppermint Creams.

To make or bake anything these days takes a lot of planning. It’s a good thing we have plenty of time! I am going through recipe books to see what I can make with what I’ve got. The peppermint cremes look lovely and all those bottles of apple juice..! Mmmmm!!

No sugar and no flavouring do get in the way! You can crush granulated sugar to make icing sugar but it must be a faff, even if you have some of that.

That’s very true, because as Hugh grant states at one point in the movie, it turns out they did know people who had a long term relationship and were reasonably happy

Julia can’t resist looking at me during the funeral scene – she seems to derive some amusement from the words “fat, and terribly rude”. I’m not sure why…

Those bottles of apple juice look amazing. I don’t actually know what a peppermint creme is, but they look tasty. Buck up. All shall be well again, just not soon. It’s starting to hit me too, but we’re all going to have to work out what we can do to stay sane. Blogging is one!

Peppermint creme is basically icing sugar and mint essence. If someone invented it today it would probably need to have a health warning on the box. 🙂

Yes, definitely time to dig in and do more blogging!
