Yesterday I fell asleep instead of posting.
Tonight, after 12 hours helping bottle jerk seasoning I feel like my body is about to fall apart. From my bad back to my arthritic fingers I am a total wreck.
After a couple of hours my back started to seize. After six hours my knee went, closely followed by feet. After ten hours my fingers started failing. Then, after eleven hours, I lost the will to live.
I’m going to sleep now, and will see if I can do better tomorrow.

Sleep well and recover, Quercus!
Thank you – it’s a lesson in ageing. π
I admire your stamina! I wouldn’t have been able to do it.
There’s a fine line between stamina and stupidity… π
Phew! I don’t know how you did it.
Julia just read that over mt shoulder. She seemed to mutter “Stupidity!” as she walked away.
Any continuous activity like that can cause real pain and some damage. I hope you are feeling better. I have been told that to limit pain from arthritic joints I have to change what I do every twenty minutes or at least have a good rest every twenty minutes. I don’t often follow this advice myself as I like to get a job done as quickly as possible but it does stop the joints stiffening and the limits the amount of pain too.
I’ll take this on board – I’m still sore today and it’s slowed me down considerably. Not that I’m exactly swift at the best of times. π
What misery! I’m sorry you are in such discomfort. The change of occupation after 20 minutes also means no sitting still for longer than that amount of time especially when joints are inflamed. It can all get a bit tiresome but it really works. π
I’m going to start setting a timer to make me get up, as I can sit and type for hours when the mood takes me.
Oh, me too! I get so stiff I can hardly walk sometimes. Just a little walk round the house, make a cup of tea/coffee and you are quite refreshed!
I may include dusting and washing up in the routine – though only 20 minutes at a time. π
Good idea π
Apparently Santa only like husbands who do housework. π
Hmmmm… mean old Santa!
I suspect the origin f this information is closer to home, but I pretend to believe in Santa because it makes her happy.
π
π
You have a super power to last that long!
I have been trained to stand patiently and carry bags (aka shopping with wife) so I now know nothing but dumb obedience. π
A well trained husband,
I do my best…
Good not gold.
π
Oh dear, I hope you feel better tomorrow. After recharging your body with a goid nights RestπβΊππ₯π΅
Yes, feeling better now thanks. π
Good to hear. πβΊβΊ

Sleep well.
I did thanks. Feeling much more lively, though the feet are still a bit creaky. π
