What fabulous photographs. I spent 30 minutes trying to capture a butterfly with open wings a few weeks ago and failed miserably where you have succeeded beautifully!
Some species are easier than others and cooler days can be better as they are a bit slower and open their wings to warm up. Then you just have to take 20 shots and hope you get a good one! Good luck with it.
