I had a text this morning reminding me I have a dental appointment on Thursday. It is going to be costly this time, as we have work planned.
Then I saw a computer engineer when he visited the shop.. He listened sympathetically to my laptop woes and told me that it’s likely the cost of repair will probably be so high it will be easier to buy a new laptop. That’s not really the news I wanted to hear. He’s going to look at it for me next time he visits the shop and see if anything can be done.
As he doesn’t actually sell computers it is probably a reliable opinion. Reliable but not welcome.
That’s it. I’ve now run out of enthusiasm.
Maybe I will find it again tonight.
Or maybe the run of bad things will continue with a third depressing occurrence.
“Good morning, Pooh Bear,” said Eeyore gloomily. “If it IS a good morning,” he said. “Which I doubt,” said he.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!
I’m feeling more cheerful already, with the sun. It will, I believe, not be so sunny tomorrow. Ah well…
I know that feeling. Eyeore is a ray of sunshine compared to me at the moment.
I’m tempted to quote Wodehouse on Scots and rays of sunshine, but will resist. 🙂
Yuck, Expensive dental work is never fun, and I especially hate it when something is too expensive to fix. Oh, that is one of my pet peeves.
Fortunately we have the NHS for dental work so it won’t be too bad – though it will be uncomfortable. Again.
Yes, it’s annoying when they are built to be unrepairable. Grrr…
🙁
The first bit is over. We have agreed the treatment, booked the next appointment and I am now muttering about pain, dentists and life in general… 🙁
Sigh.

🙂 😉 😉 Thank you Derrick.
Maybe you could buy a refurbished laptop?
I’m hoping it will be repairable, but I’ve already been looking at reconditioned machines and it might ease the pain if the worst happens.
🙂
Aw, I get the Eeyore reference totally. My Kindergarten teacher reminded me of Rabbit. She was terrifying.
Some teachers are terrifying. I remember them fifty years later!
