After a long run up, much delay and a couple of false starts it looks like we have achieved a lasting Spring.
There are many more things to see than the pitiful few I have managed here, but for now this will have to do. I’m sure there will be more soon, as I’m feeling quite sprightly.
Yes, today I’ve been out and about without my stick. I haven’t been far because my day involved a lot of packing for eBay, lunch with Julia, decluttering, blogging and making soup.
It’s amazing how good you can feel after a bit of sunshine.
We’re now planning our day out on Wednesday.
And soon it will be time for a trip to Bempton.
I’m now wondering about bringing two of my favourite themes together and having Puffins as pallbearers. I’ll have to lose some weight before that becomes a realistic plan.
Love Spring! My tulips are coming up beautifully, but sadly that just reminds me that my garden still needs a lot of work! 🙈
My daffs are doing well, but my weeds are doing better! 🙂
Those photos were most welcome! Freezing rain yesterday, a cold drizzle today. Looking forward to some puffin photos.
I hope your weather starts warming up soon. 🙂
We are ready!
Trees, lobster rolls, ice cream, sunshine – sounds perfect. 🙂
I guess it’s turn and turn about as the leaves here start to fall and I have to start getting the coat out. But I love that little robin.
It’s all relative I suppose – winter in Australia sounds like shirt sleeve weather to me. 🙂
Well, Tuesday in Sherwood is back to normal. Heavy grey clouds, a slight wind and really, quite cold. If Spring has sprung, she should have looked before she leapt!
Unless, of course, we are going to introduce a system of single day seasons. Summer will be on July 23rd for example.
Wollaton was chilly while I was in the shop but back home in Sherwood I’m thinking an extra pullover might be in order.
You’ll not want your pallbearers to be puffin’
Not sure whether to laugh or groan…
Oh, groan. Definitely
🙂
Oh, lovely spring photos! We’re right there with you – just had our first nice day. Yay spring!
Glad to hear it. I hope yours is here to stay too.
Puffins are mighty darn cute, as are English robins. Love your flowers. I hope your spring has sprung!
Fingers crossed! It looks like it could be here to stay now.
Puffins as pallbearers! I would not have thought of that. 🙂 Look up “Dying Crapshooter’s Blues” by Paul Geremia on – YouTube.
Will do – will try to get the sound on. 🙂
You’ll be running the London marathon next. Hooray for spring.
Hooray for Spring indeed!
