On the last post I used a picture of my watch. It was fortunate I had a picture to relate to time. As I’ve only got one picture you’ have to put up with it again. However, I do have some confessions to make.
I have several watches. When I’m not wearing them I pull the winder halfway out – this stops the watch and saves the battery. I also need reading glasses, so though I can reset the time easily enough I have trouble with reading the date, so never bother. In other words, the date on the watch was wrong when I took the picture. And is never right apart from by coincidence.
Somehow I get by.
Time, as I say, is flexible.
Does anyone else have this problem with the date on watches?
My watch is an old cheap digital diving watch I bought on Cape Cod 20 years ago. No way to stop it other than remove the battery, which seems to last 4 or 5 years anyway.
That’s good battery life.
I’ve solved the problem by buying a watch with no date setting. π
Good idea! I just buy cheap ones. π
Me, too! Can’t afford more expensive ones. But I must say that for the price, Fossil watches, and its offshoot, Relic, are very attractive.
We have a shopping outlet not far away – prices are very reasonable.
I stopped wearing a watch because my skin got so thin on my hands that the winder was bruising me.
Something more for me to look forward too… π
I wear a watch but don’t set it. I use my phone for time and date. I just think watches are cool….but I always had a problem setting the date back when I used them as a functional thing
Glad it’s not just me, π
I have given up watches with dates on. My daughters don’t have watches, they just use their phones. Watches = old people π
Well, I am old… π
So am I… π
More sentimental than monetary value.
That’s the best value.
So True.
My Mum bought me A quaint cat that sits, with a clock that fits in his tummy
I will add a picture. Also a scroll cat light.
Sounds like a good clock. π
It is the gentle tick tock is quite hypnotic.
As if I need more help to fall asleep.
Lucky you. I need it.
Put me in a chair, turn the TV on and off I go. Put me in a bed and I’m lucky to get three hours before I need the bathroom.
Sounds familiar.
π
I get times when Insomnia gets pretty bad I take a herbal sleep tablet and listen to music or my clocks tick, tock.
Sounds like a good plan. π
Thank you.
Just taken a couple.
Zzzzzzz…
