Publish!

I’ve been struggling today. It’s not that I’m short of subjects, but they are either not suitable, need more work or need photographs. (I have many of the photos I need, but can’t get the card reader to work).

It’s the same with time – I had a list of jobs to do and I’ve been behaving like a startled rabbit. The result is that I made more mess than I started with. Julia Β brought back three wooden boxes from her friendly fruit stall, so we now also have more clutter than when we started.

In the end I decided that I’m the only one that demands daily posts so why make my own life a misery with deadlines?

In the end, at 11.59, I pressed the button, loaded the post and then carried on editing.

Am I the only one who does this, making a rod for my own back?

Please tell me I’m not…

I only publish once a month, and give the last day as my deadline. That is the best I can do. I often miss things that need fixing later. πŸ™‚

I do enjoy seeing what you and Julia are up to, whether it be few words or many words. πŸ™‚

Maybe I am inherently lazy, but I only publish once a week and in the past that has bitten the dust when college becomes frenetic. I didn’t post anything from July last year until May this year lol. But then it depends why you blog I guess. As far as pushing the publish button I do 3 read throughs and then it goes. Posting everyday is your own target so I guess you are, in the full meaning of the term, making a rod for your own back, but you can always reset the target lol. But then if you look at your post above it’s created a lot of interest with only a few words πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Posting daily is difficult, but I would say stick to quality over quantity. As Renard said, you dont want to publish something you would regret.

[ Smiles ] You might think that your blog post is lousy, while others will not.

Now, I believe that a person should only press the “Publish” button only if they are satisfied with their blog posts.

I hit the publish button no matter how lousy my post is. If I give myself an out because of block, that means I’ll give myself an out at other times. Since I started blogging in may (I know, long time blogger….) I only didn’t publish a few days, and that was because I was on vacation and didn’t have great wifi. Just publish. You’ll always feel better!
