Here are more pictures from our visit to Rufford Park. It seems a shame not to use them, though there were too many to use in the original post, as they wouldn’t have left room for much else.
The worn carvings are from an old window frame and the corbels are the ones that look new date from the modern restoration.
I love your blogs. That’s it. 💃🏻
That’s because you have good taste. 🙂
I’ve decided we’re going there on Boxing Day.
I’m sure it will be a great day for a visit. If you see a fat man limping round feeding birds and complaining about the modern world give me a wave! 🙂
I might make some new friends that way 😉
I always seem to find someone to have a laugh with on the way round, so there are lots of friends to make. 🙂
That’s good news 😊.
I always find architecture fascinating. The more the merrier!
Julia has just bought me National Trust Membership for Christmas so I’ll be photographing more architecture next year. And reviewing more tearooms…
Such a lovely present! Look forward to the reviews. I often find the NT cakes are too sweet. Let me know what you think!
Too sweet? I’ll be on the lookout for that. 🙂
😀
Wow!!! Wonderful.
Thanks. Will have to find some more now!
Oh, England! To have such things!
Yes, we have lots of old ruins (me for instance…) 🙂
